This is the first of three works I entered: #Lifelines1 - Our interaction with our environment, both natural and man-made, is complex, becoming increasingly more complicated as we exploit the natural world for our perceived well-being. Not only do we influence the environment by what we do within it, but our surroundings also influence us and how we think. The land plays an important part in most cultures in South Africa, yet ecological awareness is often lacking. In my own quiet way, I hope to influence the way the viewer observes the world
